Muyeni’ translated in Shona means a visitor. There is a saying in the Shona culture which goes ‘muyeni haapedzi dura’ (a visitor won’t finish what you have stored). Our name is an expression of our passion which is to share all the knowledge and experiences which we have stored up of the African wild with the daring traveller (our ‘muyeni’). Muyeni Resort & Safaris is a Holding Company established in 2020. Within this Holding Company are other subsidiary companies providing value-added products and services in the Tourism & Hospitality Industry. One of the subsidiary companies is Famba Afrika Travel & Tours which was birthed in 2011. Muyeni Resort & Safaris is 100%owner-run and includes a friendly team of professionals with a passion to share the true African experience ‘nomuyeni’ (with the visitor). Muyeni Resort & Safaris is people-centred, and we are constantly trying to find ways of participating in community-based initiatives and conservation projects to safeguard the natural environment. Muyeni Resort & Safaris focuses on offering the daring traveller exclusive Safari Experiences in the African wild. Our main destination areas include all National Parks in Zimbabwe and some in Botswana. Our various safari packages ensure that every ‘muyeni’ has an authentic experience of Africa through participating in various activities on offer such as canoeing safari; birding/photographic safari; walking safari; night safari; game drives and lots more.
